Hearings on American Islamic Radicalization Long Overdue

Home-grown terrorism and domestic Islamic radicalization are growing problems within the United States that desperately need to be addressed.  Congressman Peter King of Long Island, who will chair the House Homeland Security Committee in the next Congress, has announced that he will hold hearings on the reasons behind American Muslim radicalization.

This issue is of particular significance to Fairfield County, not only because we are located so close to New York City- a prime target of radical Islamic terrorism- but because our area might very well literally be home to terrorists.  Take for example the Times Square Bomber, Faisal Shahzad, who was educated at the University of Bridgeport and had called both Bridgeport and Shelton home before his attempted attack.

Read this article to learn why America needs these hearing.
